Notes

I love how some people in the mainstream media pronounce “Twitter.” They say it with the kind of authority that parents in the ’60s said “pop music” with.

I sometimes forget that there are people in the world that aren’t plugged in to everything, so it makes me a little mad when I see newspaper articles like I saw yesterday (yes, real ones — like, on paper and stuff) about Robin Sloan’s pentagigatweet. The article was written like the kind of cutesy human-interest story that news channels put at the end of their broadcasts:

“The dog ate the pizza, and then walked all the way home.”

Being treated like a child because I use a service that has a goofy-sounding name is slightly infuriating.
