My SongParts Ideas

So, I have some SongParts submission ideas, but some of them probably aren’t all that practical. I think you’ll see what I mean.

Phil Collins — Sussudio. I really like the bit where Phil Collins thought it would be a good idea to go solo from Genesis.

Arcade Fire — Wake Up. I just want the bit where they’re one of the awesomest bands in the world (hint: that’s most of the song)

Elvis Costello — Watching The Detectives. My favourite part is the part where Elvis and The Attractions thought they could play reggae.

Europe — Rock The Night. This SongPart would be the part of the song where Europe overuse 80s rhythm guitar and widdly-widdly solos.

Metallica — Escape. Just the rests. Seriously, this song fucking sucks. They have never played it live. Talk about album filler.

Guided By Voices — My Valuable Hunting Knife. Just the part where I’m insanely jealous that I never got to see GBV live.

Seriously though, my submission ideas are…

Mötley Crüe — Kickstart My Heart. Just the shouty “woah, yeah” chorus [snipped SongPart mp3 here]. If there’s a part of the song that makes you punch the air, that’s probably The Good Part.

Paul Simon — You Can Call Me Al. The funky bass solo leading into the last chorus and fadeout. This is probably the least Paul Simon-y Paul Simon song ever. [snipped SongPart mp3 here]
