Remember that bit in The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension when Buckaroo Banzai and the Hong Kong Cavaliers play a gig at Artie’s club? Turns out the first song they play is a cover of “Rocket 88,” one of the first rock ‘n’ roll records.
