iftop : bandwidth usage :: top : CPU usage
Requires a teensy bit of fu to master (remember, “en1” is (usually!) the interface for your AirPort card), but
$ sudo iftop -Pi en1
should get you off to the races.

printf "\7" is a quick way to give you some aural feedback in your shell scripts (“your files are copied!”), C programs (“this part of the if statement is being run!”), or any program that treats text as ASCII.

It’s a cool program (Exposé is a nice touch), but even this can’t make me switch full-time to the Magic Mouse.
